3 Inch Wet Polishing Pads for Granite Edges
Granite edges — eased, bullnose or ogee profiles — are polished with small-diameter pads that follow the contour. 3 inch (80 mm) wet pads are the shop standard for this work on angle grinders and pneumatic edge polishers.
DIAMTO 3 inch wet pads are specified for granite (among marble and engineered stone) in the product master. The SKUs below carry the full 50#–3000# sequence plus fast 3-step options.
Granite edge polishing workflow
- Profile then polish
Shape the edge with diamond profiling wheels first; start polishing at 50#–100# to remove tool marks before moving up the sequence.
- Work the full grit sequence
Do not skip grits on dark granites — every skipped step risks visible scratches. 50# → 100# → 200# → 400# → 800# → 1500# → 3000# is the safe path to a uniform gloss.
- Keep edges wet and cool
Edges chip easily when hot. Keep water flowing, use light pressure, and keep the pad flat against the profile.
- Finish with a buff pad for black granites
Absolute-black and other dark granites show every haze. A final pass with a buff pad evens out the gloss.

Yes — the product specification for these SKUs lists granite among the specified materials (granite, marble, man-made stone).
What backing pad do I need?
A 3 inch (80 mm) hook-and-loop backing pad. Snail-lock adapters are available for edge-polishing machines — ask in your RFQ.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
The standard MOQ is 100 pieces per SKU. Mixed-grit sets can be combined within one order — tell us the grit breakdown you need in the RFQ.
What is the lead time?
Standard lead time is 15–30 days after order confirmation. Samples and repeat orders are usually faster. Sample orders and small quantities can ship by air freight to shorten delivery time.
